The Name: West Pasture Studio

After four great wedding seasons as Jessica Lee Calligraphy, and a lot of thinking, dreaming and planning, it makes me so happy to finally be sharing my next step with you.

West Pasture Studio. A name that better reflects all that I do.

Throughout these past 4 years of weddings and artwork, I have found myself doing a little bit of everything- large signage installs, custom corn hole boards, branding lettering into leather place cards and journals, using tree bark as menu backing, hand dyeing silk ribbon, designing fabric menus and signs, custom paintings, stationery design and yes, calligraphy too! I love that I can offer all of this and more to my clients. I can’t wait to see what requests come in for this year- West Pasture Studio is ready to take them on!

The name West Pasture Studio encompasses more aspects of my business, but it also has a deeper meaning to me. While my husband and I were dreaming aloud, as we often used to, about living on his family’s ranch, we talked about fostering a slower pace of living, and a peaceful place of growth, where our young marriage/family could thrive. We now have lived on the ranch for a few months and it is so heart warming to see these dreams we talked about and worked for, becoming reality. I realized when talking about the future of my business, that our dream for life at the ranch is exactly what I want from my business and for my clients as well.

I think of a pasture as a peaceful place of growth. It evokes a feeling of fresh air, simplicity, and tranquility. Wedding planning and preparation can be a very overwhelming and stressful time. Truthfully, I’d love for each and every client to get to visit the ranch for a weekend, but I’m so excited to get to share some of the peacefulness through the quality of my services and the relationships I hope to build with my clients and other wedding vendors. The whole wedding process can go by way too fast. I hope working with West Pasture Studio can be a breath of fresh air in the midst of it all and a special time my clients can look back on.

Thank you for taking time to read about my heart behind this business change, and for all of the support throughout these past few years. I have a lot of content waiting to be shared so be sure to follow along on Instagram for the latest updates from the wedding/art world and a little bit of ranch life thrown in the mix.

Warmly,

Jessica

This is one of the original homestead’s on the ranch and the inspiration behind the logo illustration. Many generations have gone before us here and we feel blessed to get to have this lifestyle because of their hard work.
